2012 Summer Camp

The Area 3 Young Rider Summer Camp will be held at Rocking Horse Stables, Altoona, FL, beginning June 18th. As in past years, it will be open to both Young Riders and Adult Riders. Lessons will be conducted June 19-22 with dressage and show jumping on the first 3 days and XC on the final day. Our Young Riders coach and 3 main trainers will be returning - Kyle Carter, Hilda Donahue, Leslie Law and Tiffany Loudon-Meetze.

2012 Team Challenge

A schooling show will be held at Rocking Horse, Saturday, June 23d, following camp. Our trainers/selectors will be on hand for guidance during the show for those who sign up for coaching. If you plan to compete for Area 3 in the Team Challenge competition in Kentucky in October, you will need to attend the Schooling Show since the show will be used for selection of the team. See entry form under Summer Camp.

2012 NAJYRC

All NAJYRC riders will be required to participate in the Rocking Horse Schooling Show, Saturday, June 23d. It will serve as a selection trial for the Area 3 NAJYRC teams. Kyle Carter will conduct a clinic during the last day of camp for those planning to compete in NAJYRC. A separate registration form for this clinic will be distributed at a later date for those who will not be attending camp. We ask that NAJYRC riders attend camp so the selectors can get an opportunity to work with each rider throughout the week.

Low Score Program

Each Spring and Fall we select 3 horse trials to reward our members and promote our program. Items that are donated from our various sponsors are awarded to participating members that finish with the lowest score at each level.

Final teams will be determined after all riders have met their Eligibility Requirements of 2 Recognized Horse Trials at the level they will be competing. The Area Coach will assign riders to teams after the Training Clinic to be scheduled in August or September.
